The Driving Alternative Inc. operates under the trademarks, The Driving Alternative® and Keys Please®. We commenced operations in 1997 and have supplied the service to millions of customers.

Dedication to Innovation
Over the last ten (10) years The Driving Alternative Inc. has been dedicated to improving all facets of the organization (customer service, revenue and expenses). We have successfully done this and more through innovation and growing technologies.
One of our accomplishments is a computerized central dispatch system which allows calls to be fielded and dispatched in less than six (6) seconds. GPS integration allows operations personnel the visual controls required to effectively perform their duties.
For the Franchise locations that are on the Computerized Central Dispatch System, dispatching is performed out of Calgary, Alberta for your location. This reduces the franchise expenses and improves customer service.

The Driving Alternative Inc. continually strives to improve through feedback and the implementation of new ideas and improved technology. We continually monitor and research the “next best thing” to enable us to maintain our leadership, growth and prosperity.
How Does It Work?
All our professional designated driving TEAMS are independent contractors and receive complete training. They further supply the vehicle required to perform their duties as a designated driver.
The driving teams are supplied a tablet to pick the calls closes to them. Once the driving team accepts the call they are supplied through their tablet the information required.
Upon completion of the call the tablet gives them the cost for the customer service.
Training
You and/or your designee or manager will take part in an extensive training program. Thirteen days in Calgary and seven to ten days in your franchise location dependent on location size.
You get on-going, continuous support from the Franchisor.
Support
The Driving Alternative is proud of the excellent support system available. Ongoing support is provided before and after you open your location.
We implement new ideas at our company-owned location in Calgary, before introducing them to our franchisees. This ensures tried and tested improvements before our franchise locations introduce them.
Investment
The initial investment that a franchisee will have to make can vary depending on the size of the territory and population. The Driving Alternative Inc. franchise has an affordable start-up cost and a low monthly operating cost. The return on investment, if you follow the proven method, can be very lucrative. Initial investment ranges from $23,500 to $75,000. The initial investment incorporates: Franchise Fee, Training Fee, Set-up Fee, Initial Promotional Material, Vehicle Signage and Clothing and for locations on centralized dispatch, free dispatching for the first six months.
